CHINESE KENPO KARATE ASSOCIATION

The Chinese Kenpo Karate Association patch (pictured left) was designed by Sifu Schroder to represent many aspects of the art of Kenpo. The yin & yang in the background represent balance. The hands represent the union of the warrior and the scholar and the hard and soft aspects of the art. The Chinese characters are Principles and Honor, from the Kenpo creed. The large, red outer ring represents the body of students studying the art. The smaller, inner red ring represents the instructors, who are fewer in number. The great black area between the two rings represents the long journey students must take to become instructors.
